John Clese created the Eat300! video channel for people who love to cook but need to watch their weight. He’s just your average guy with a passion for life and cooking who finally said, “enough is enough!”
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 19, 2012
The goal of the online cooking channel titled The Unexpected Guest which can be found at Eat300.com, is to show people with a passion for cooking that it’s still possible to eat healthy and take off the weight. He also tries to show people who are new to cooking how easy it is to make food from scratch. John is very funny and has a very care free style when it comes to cooking and presenting techniques in the kitchen. When discussing the cooking channel John went on to say “Sometime you make mistakes and sometimes you set a pot-holder on fire but that’s real life cooking in the kitchen!”
John lost fifty pounds eating five or six meals a day with around 300 calories per meal. Astonished that at 46 years old he could lose four to six pounds per month just by watching calories – boring yes but it is still the only way. John later stated “I have battled with my weight since I was a child and never have I taken off weight or kept it off so easily.”
In the process of losing weight, he found it nearly impossible to find healthy meals under 300 calories that tasted good and had a significant amount of protein. He had also encountered many people with the same frustrations. According to Clese “Healthy food is rarely available for delivery and current diet food plans have some of the most horrible tasting food ever and typical so-called healthy frozen meals leave me completely unsatisfied and usually make me want to eat two packages!” So the best option is to make meals yourself and that’s what Eat300.com is teaching people to do. John is also passionate about sharing the camaraderie and the struggles of losing weight. “I’ve been there, am still there and will always have to watch what I eat.”
Not all of the featured recipes are healthy as John has a philosophy that everyone can have a cheat day if they like, he goes on to say “baking is one of my favorite past times, but it’s not always on the diet. Self-control is easier when you make it yourself though.” So if you love cakes, tarts cookies and just about any other type of sweet desert you’ll find something on Eat300 to like too! Of course all in moderation – yea right!
Most importantly, John and the crew at Eat300 want people to still have fun in the kitchen as they believe cooking and eating to be one of the great joys of life and something that people don’t do enough of for themselves.
Bon Appetit!
